Aberdeen Lions Club
The Aberdeen Lions Club is Harford County’s oldest service organization. Founded in 1932 and continuing today, the Aberdeen Lions Club serves the greater Aberdeen area.
In 1925, at the Lions International Convention, Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become “knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness.” Since that that time, Lions the world over, have concentrated their efforts to helping those with sight and now hearing problems, see and hear.
The Aberdeen Lions Club provides eye exams and eye glasses, at no charge, to those that qualify and well as hearing aids to those that cannot afford them.
We also maintain a medical loan closet in which we loan, at no charge, wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, canes and toilet lifts to anyone requesting them. We also accept donations of these items.
The Aberdeen Lions Club embodies the motto of Lions International: “We Serve”
